McCall 2012 trip

So this may be total picture overload (and so far we have not exchanged photos which means I am only in possession of 1/4 of the photos I will actually have to scrapbook, yikes!...once I get past Sam's third day of life in her scrapbook, so I may be a LITTLE behind :)....) anyway my point is I thought I would post my pics before I have WAY too many to chose from :)...So here ya go, our annual McCall trip.
A little history on the trip: four years ago some friends of ours (Ben and Amber Haney) went to McCall for the annual winter festival where people come from all over to view tons of snow sculptures and enjoy a parade and fireworks in a quaint little town in the middle of the mountains out in the middle of nowhere. After their family trip they thought it would be a fun idea to get a group of friends together and rent a house for the weekend and enjoy it all together. So three years ago we rented our first weekend house and hung out among four other couples, we viewed the sculptures, watched the fireworks, went to the parade, went snowmobiling, ate lots of home cooked food, played a bunch of games, a few people had a little too much to drink and we all got a good laugh from it and overall we just really enjoyed hanging out together!!
This year we went down with the Haneys, Ben & Andrea McCarron and Grant & Cralene Gould. It was an even more special trip this year because we moved away back in October and it was our own little mini reunion! It was great to see everyone, we miss them all soooo much!! Ok so I probably miss them sooo much, Michael's not much for the sappy homesick kind of stuff...anyway as I was saying...another thing that made this year wonderful is the fact that the kids are getting older and are able to play together more...each year gets a little more fun to watch the kids enjoy it all and play together!! McEwen and Sam played sooo great together, Jace was even able to hang out with the big kids and play on and off too!! Jace taught Sam how to do sommersaults and McEwen got Sam a little less afraid of going down slides and walking on the snow (my kid is strange what can I say) :) And the babies (Eli and Benson) mostly hung out doing their own thing, but next year I have a feeling they'll all be crazy banchees together! It'll be great!! Plus Cralene is cooking one that will be crawling all over the place this time next year :) YAY!! The more the merrier!! Each year there is some small milestone for a kid or two...this year Eli got two teeth, numbers 7 & 8, both of the top ones next to his two front ones :) So, enough talk, time to let the pictures tell a little of the story....

Sam and McEwen or "Q" as Sam calls him

Watching the fireworks or the "party lights in the sky" as Sam called them :) Long story short...Michael refers to police lights as "party lights" so now Sam has picked up on it and apparently the fireworks looked like police lights in the sky :) Ah the mind of a three year old

Every year the girls do a traditional pose where we do various dilitations with our hands :) It's a labor nurse thing ;)...so this year we thought it would be fun to do it while making a train and going down the slide :) It was way fun!! These girls are truly some of my best friends I have ever had!!

Well that about wraps it up for the third annual McCall trip...can't wait to see what next year brings!!!
