Sam liked the smell of the candle so well she tried to eat it!

These are a few pics from our Christmas festivities while we were up in Spokane. It was so nice to be home over the holidays and get to celebrate with our families! It was a short trip as usual but was well worth the drive! Samantha got tons of toys and had a blast! I think it all wore her out pretty well though 'cause she slept almost the whole drive home :) She is such a huge blessing in our lives and we thank God for her everyday! Hope everyone was able to have as wonderful of Christmas as we did!

Mom I'm stuck under the chair...

Somehow I got in here and can't get out Mom!!

Hmmm...maybe I'll climb over the bar since crawling under would be too easy...

The quiet times of a 1 year old!

I was simply preparing dinner the other day and Sam was just 2 feet behind me, but after a while of not hearing from her I turned around and this is what I found...

Update on Sam...

Samantha is at such a fun stage! She still isn't walking but does pull herself up on everything...and has the ability to stand alone when SHE wants to! We recently moved most of her toys into her room to make room for the Christmas tree and her latest thing is that she LOVES to go in there by herself and play...and while she's in there she usually pulls all of her clothes out of the drawers. She thinks she's pretty big! She loves to play with necklaces and was born knowing what to do with them! It's rare for her not to have one on! She also really enjoys playing with her magnets on the fridge. Since we've set up the Christmas tree she has a few ornaments that we left off for her to play with and she is continually trying to figure out how to get them to hang on the tree! Surprisingly enough though she leaves all of our Christmas decorations alone which is nice! Her latest noise is "quack quack" but she still loves to bark at the dogs when they're outside! She loves to babble constantly!! We're really looking forward to seeing her at Christmas...she's sooo much fun!

Happy Thanksgiving

Our Little Princess...

This is what happens when Princess gets spaghetti!!

Finally got Sam's hair into pigtails...they kind of look more like horns though :)

Decorating for Christmas

Sam is so funny with these mardi gras necklaces!! She'll search all over the house until she finds one, and she knows exactly how to put them on! Then will just crawl around wearing it all day long! Priceless!!

Samantha's first birthday

Samantha loved her cake at her birthday party...although she didn't quite figure out the whole opening presents thing...maybe by Christmas

Starting a blog...

Well, I pretty much had convinced myself I had too much on my plate and that I'd never start one of these things...but here I am starting another hobby :) I'm hoping this will provide a good avenue for our friends and family to watch our "little family" grow through pictures and stories.
